Today I will share a light and nutritious dish, stir-fry shrimps with snow peas and carrots. The main ingredients of this home-cooked dish are shrimp and snow peas. Snow peas are a kind of vegetables with high nutritional value and have an important role in enhancing the body’s metabolic function. It tastes more delicious when cooked with shrimp and carrots.
Ingredients:
250 grams of frozen shrimps, 250 grams of snow peas, half a carrot, moderate oil and salt, 2 cloves of garlic, 1/2 teaspoon chicken essence, moderate water starch and dried starch, 1/2 tablespoon cooking wine, 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder.
Cooking steps:
1. Thaw the shrimps in water. Prepare snow peas in advance.
2. Peel and cut carrots into slices, mince garlic. Put the thawed shrimp into a bowl, add a little salt, cooking wine, pepper and dried starch. Mix and marinate for 10 minutes.
3. Once the water’s boiling, we’re gonna parboil the snow peas and carrots. Add a little salt, a few drops of edible oil, so that the color of the snow peas can be greener.
4. Cool the snow pea in cold water to keep it crisp and tender.
5. Add oil to the pan, pour the shrimps and stir-fry until the color turns red.
6. Add minced garlic and stir-fry for a while.
7. Finally, add the snow peas, carrot slices, salt, chicken essence and stir-fry quickly over high heat. Then pour the right amount of water starch and stir evenly.
Tips:
When blanching the snow pea, add a little salt and a few drops of oil to make the snow pea greener, and then cool it in cold water to keep it crisp and tender.
