Ingredients
  

  • 300 g glutinous rice flour
  • 55 g cornstarch
  • 240 ml boiling water
  • 35 g salad oil
  • a little rose pollen or red pigment
  • 300 g rose jam
  • moderate bread crumb
  • 1 egg
  • moderate cooking oil

Instructions
 

  • 1. Divide rose jam into 30 small balls of ten grams and put them in the refrigerator to freeze for 2 hours.

    2. Mix glutinous rice flour, cornstarch, salad oil and rose pollen. Add 240ml of boiling water. Knead into glutinous rice dough.

    3. Roll the glutinous rice dough into long strips and cut into 30 portions. Take one of them and wrap it in rose jam. Rub round.

    4. Put the rice balls in the egg liquid and roll.

    5. Put it in bread crumbs and roll.

    6. Add oil to the pan, add rose glutinous rice balls and deep-fry on low heat until the surface is crisp and golden.

Notes

1. Roses can be bought in supermarkets, or you can make your own.
1. The wrapped balls should be immediately deep-fried in a pan to prevent the inside of the rose jam from slowly melting and oozing the glutinous rice skin.
3. My ingredients can make 30 rose glutinous rice balls.
